This past April I was fretfully seeking social media platforms to assist me with a venue to celebrate my 27th Birthday. I came across Pearl’s Liquor Bar on Yelp although at the time I choose a different familiar setting. I opted to try Pearl’s at a later time with a dear friend for some #SundayFunday. We fell in love with Pearl’s Liquor Bar for a multitude of reasons. Foremost, the perfect location in Hollywood bordering WeHo, considering Sunset Blvd., as a decadent location with effortless access to valet attendants in addition to 2 hour meter parking.
You are greeted by a friendly young woman whom asks if you are interested in sitting upstairs or downstairs. I recommend opting for the upstairs that’s where Pearl’s echos its theme, the ambiance resonates from the decor, to the breath taking LA views of the Sunset strip overlooking West LA. You feel as though you are walking through a Soho style NYC apartment with a small staircase, garden area, a fun photo-booth, a lovers style porch with faux grass. I was hoping Leonardo DeCaprio’s character from The Great Gatsby would greet me with a wink & a toast (haha!).
Well, you take a few steps and there is another level! Yes, a fun outdoor sky deck style venue with three TV’s, a veranda, entertaining 1920’s themed images of female flappers, with comfortable outdoor furniture. A lovely server greeted us with such a warm demeanor you feel as though you have been a loyal patron for years. I had the pleasure of going on a Sunday (booth times) we have yet to attend for a nice evening experience. Not only is this venue stunning, they also serve some delicious brunch, appetizers, perfect portions for any size group, and not to forget their delicious drinks!! Mimosa’s served with freshly squeezed orange juice, strawberry syrup, peach syrup, luscious sangria’s and mouth watering Bloody Mary’s!
Recently, some of my girlfriends were in town from San Francisco so, I thought why not show them a wonderful LA style fun afternoon. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into! This was during the FIFA World Cup finale and how lucky were we that someone had just canceled their reservation! The hostesses were so sweet sat us ironically in the best seats (right in the middle) we were mainly there for the food & drinks (lol). However, the excitement had us cheering along with other patrons. Our server Laura was the epitome of a server whom showed her guests a genuine time. We had the most delectable Mimosa’s alongside Eggs Benedict and Laura’s perfect recommendation for the most delightful French toast we have ever had! So, if you are looking for a new venue to just try out or even a fun afternoon I highly suggest this trendy & local LA spot. You can find Pearl’s Liquor Bar on all social media platforms they have a fun environment & even showcase a summer evening movie night I highly recommend RSVP-ing in advance for.
